Affectionately known by his friends and fans as Big Daddy Boo Bear, Jourdanuweil (Jourdan) was born February 14, 1965 in York, Pennsylvania. Jourdan attended Kyton Elementary, Central High and Cass Tech. In 1972, he moved with his family to Detroit, Michigan, where he currently resides.
Jourdan supports an amazing vocal range from bass to high alto, but it is his double bass voice that makes him a natural to impersonate 70s soul sensation, BARRY WHITE. His professional singing career started in small clubs, where he not only performed his Barry White tribute, but developed his own stage show, as well.
In 2001, Jourdan was selected to compete in the nationally syndicated television program, Your Big Break. His uncanny portrayal of Barry White won that weeks segment, and soon after took him the semi-finals of the national competition. As a result of that television exposure, Jourdans tribute to Barry White has been in constant demand. He even caught the eye of John Stuart, creator and producer of the famed Legends In Concert, and is now a featured performer at their properties in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and Atlantic City.
In addition to his musical talents, Jourdan is also a fashion designer and has developed his own line of contemporary male clothing. His many hobbies include bodybuilding and freehand art, but his first love and passion still remains in his music.
